About

Our Beginnings

Courtesy Care Cleaning was formed in Bartlesville, Oklahoma in 1981 by Allen and Suzanne Birk. Starting out in the family garage, Courtesy Care primarily did janitorial work for companies such as K-Mart and Wal-Mart. In 1997, the company exploded into the carpet cleaning and water damage restoration industries with the purchase of its first Truck-Mounted Hot Water Extraction machine and moved into the building at 1201 SE Adams Blvd. in Bartlesville, OK.

Expansion and Professional Training

In 1999, Courtesy Care expanded to include the indoor air quality (IAQ) field and added air duct cleaning to the company’s extensive list of services. Starting out with the Roto-Mate system, it was soon found to be inadequate for the company’s high standards. After a long search, Courtesy Care discovered the powerful Biltwell Air Duct Cleaning System manufactured in Edmonton, Canada and added it to their arsenal of air-duct cleaning tools.

In 2002, company employees underwent extensive training in mold abatement to offer yet another answer to the important health concerns of their clients. Our mold remediation services are from trained and certified technicians who take great care to rid your home or business of all mold contaminants.

Today

Wanting to simplify, Allen decided to suspend smaller services such as carpet cleaning, hard surface floor cleaning, dryer vents, and upholstery cleaning. He wanted to focus on a few specialized services such as water and fire restoration, mold remediation, air duct cleaning, and area rug cleaning. This allows the team to focus on training and the quality of those services so that we can provide top-notch service to our clients. This has been an exciting journey of change, improvement, and reaching new heights, both professionally and as a team!
