Complete HVAC & Air Duct Cleaning Process

Step 1: Pre-inspection
Our specially trained technician inspects every part of your HVAC and air duct system. By doing this, he will insure that every part of the air duct system is thoroughly cleaned. Some systems can develop big air duct problems if the problems are not identified early.

Step 2: Set Up Negative Pressure
Using our powerful truck-mounted negative air machine, a large 12” hose will be attached to the plenum of your HVAC unit. This puts the air duct system under negative pressure, pulling dust and debris to the vacuum rather than into your home.

Step 3: Rotary Brush Supply Lines
Some companies only use an air skipper which attempts to just blow the dust off. This is not as effective as the rotary brush method Courtesy Care uses. We insert a rotary brush into each of your air registers to knock off all caked-on dust. Once the dust and other air pollutants are loose, the negative pressure pulls it to the vacuum tank outside.

Step 4: Rotary Brush Main Lines
The large main line can be a challenge to clean in some situations. We may need to cut an access port in your air ducts to insure proper cleaning.

Step 5: Clean Air Returns
The air returns are where the HVAC system sucks air in from your home. These are typically the dirtiest part of the system since the air has not yet been filtered in many cases. We go to great lengths to make sure the returns are thoroughly cleaned so that your HVAC unit will not be pulling in dirty air.

Step 6: Clean Air-Conditioning Coil
The air-conditioning coil is made up of dozens of small fins which dust can easily clog up. It is crucial to make sure these fins are cleared of debris for your air conditioner to run smooth and efficient. Courtesy Care will clean all sides of the coil, unlike many companies that, if they even clean the coil, just try to blow off the exposed side as best they can.

Step 7: Remove & Clean Blower
We remove the squirrel cage blower from your unit to make sure the blades and housing are free of caked-on dust.

Step 8: Clean Heat Exchanger
All rust filaments are carefully brushed off and burners are cleaned for better burning efficiency.

Step 9: Sanitize Air Ducts
The technician will fog a sanitizing agent into your air ducts. This will kill any mold or microbial growth on contact, leaving your air duct system both clean and healthy.

Step 10: Post-inspection
After the system has been thoroughly and completely cleaned, the technician will reinstall supply and return registers. Any access holes that were cut into the system will be plugged to prevent any air leakage. The technician will turn the unit on to ensure everything is in working order as it was before the cleaning.
